Nexium is a proton inhibitor drug which is used for reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. The main ingredient in Nexium is Esomeprazole. Nexium is the branded formulation of this acid reflux drug. A lot of generic medications with the name Esomeprazole are available in the market.

Dosage and Administration

Nexium has to be taken by exactly following the same procedure as prescribed by the doctor without even altering any of the steps. Do meticulously follow the directions specified in the prescription label.

Forget about taking Nexium drug even in bigger or smaller measure more than the period for what it has been prescribed for. The medication is ideally given for a time duration of 1 or 2 months.
