Patients who were undergoing external beam radiotherapy i.e. EBRT or brachytherapy for prostate cancer were put on placebo with 5mg tadalafil for about 24 weeks. Cialis was administered to these patients on a daily basis with one pill per day. Some other men were put on placebo with Cialis for about four to six weeks.

The study thus conducted established that men older than 65 years of age did not perform any better with the drug. Those who consumed Cialis once daily showed better efficacy.
